23-year-old Monica Panwar, a 23-year-old Chamba resident for the wandering youth in search of employment, has made an example by adopting self-employment. Monica is cultivating mushroom after leaving an engineer's job in the multinational company.

At the same time, they are providing employment to five local women in their mushroom plant. Third Monica Panwar of the four children of Swami Shankar Singh Panwar and Sarita Panchwar of Chamba passed the Classical School Chamba from Class X and then First Class Intermediate Examination from New Tehri.

After this, Monica got a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Roorkee College of Engineering. For some
time she did the job of Multinational Company. But the desire to do something bigger in the field of agriculture brought Monica home after leaving her job.

Monika built a mushroom plant in a small room and a closed hall in Nagani, ten km away from Chamba. Here are the Monica Buttons, Oyster and Milky Mushrooms produced. Besides, they are also providing employment to five women from the village. Monica said that in order to install the Mushroom Plant, she did not get any financial help from her family members and took advantage of the government scheme from Union Bank Chamba and set up a mushroom plant on subsidy. Told that in a month, sells more than one lakh mushrooms. Monica’s scheme is to increase the plant to form the company.

According to Monika, the rural unemployed youth of the rural areas will be able to get employment.
